Arsenal star to decide future after Euro 2016

Report has per IBT, has revealed that Mesut Ozil has raised a fresh doubt over his future at the Emirates; he was stating that he will be thinking about extending his contract at Arsenal after the European Championships in France next month as also reported by the Squawka and the National.

The German international has only two years left on his contract with Arsenal and is waiting to see how things are going to work out with the gunners before committing his future at the Emirates.

The 27-year-old had a step forward season in 2015/16 when he makes 19 assists, just one to be of Thierry Henry’s record having most assist in a league campaign.

The German international has not been coming up about committing his future to the club; he has hindered his contracts talks until the end of the season and has now declared that he will be deciding over his future at the Emirates after EURO 2016.

Arsenal has failed to take advantage of the German international brilliant form and fell off in the second half of the season, which makes the Gunners ended the season in second place and ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The North London club beat Aston Villa 4 – 0 and Spurs lost 5 – 1 to Newcastle which saw the Gunners to finish second as their highest ever league finish since 2005 for the 21st consecutive campaign.

The German international who still has two years left on his current contract at the Emirates, has been rumored to be linked with a move to Juventus and Manchester United should possibly Jose Mourinho comes in as manager at the Old Trafford.

The North London club management now has to convince Ozil that staying at the Emirates is the forward, it is reported that Arsenal are reportedly to set an offer to the German international a contract extension worth £200,000 per week, which in turn would make him the first player to earn such wage in the club’s history.

As the team manager aims in strengthening the team this summer, he believes the World cup winner could be convince to remain at the team, but base on the recent comments, this will be possible after his return from international duty in France.

As quoted by the National, Ozil said, "I still have two years contract with Arsenal, as you know, and we will be in talks with the club and we'll see what happens in the future.”

“But as I said, now I'm concentrating on Euro 2016 in France, which is very important for me and my team after the last World Cup. Then later on, I will see what I do with Arsenal."

On the other hand, there are growing beliefs among the fans that the Gunners should have done better this season as Leicester City went on implausible run to win the Premier League.

The 27-year-old sided with the gunner’s fans pertaining to this regard and stated that Arsenal really broke down following the 2-0 loss to Barcelona at the Emirates and they failed to pick up themselves, dropping vital points to smaller teams like Swansea City following the tragedy.
"Especially after the Barcelona game, we lost points. That was the time in the team where we weren't good enough to take the points and go."
"We dropped a lot of points which we shouldn't have dropped against smaller teams and that was the point in the season where we were just not strong enough as a team to take a one point sometimes and go ahead," The German international added.

Ozil has led the Premier League assists with 19 and he has scored 6-goals in 35 league appearances. He joined the North London club from Real Madrid in 2013.
