What can I say about the second half? To say I didn't see that coming would be an understatement.
However, Haaland's equaliser was no surprise at all. City had a lot of the ball, and once a semi-decent cross came in, the Norwegian outleaped Saliba to head past Raya.
What was remarkable was Arsenal's reaction. Partey intercepted a stray Foden pass and let fly. The shot took a wicked deflection off John Stones, but Partey deserves full credit for his decisiveness in restoring the Gunners' advantage.
Arsenal remained on the front foot, so much so that Myles Lewis-Skelly was able to waltz through the City defence to score his first senior goal.
Later, another A/S Level candidate would get on the scoresheet, his study mate, Nwanieri, who came on as a late substitute. His goal was pure finesse, as he cut in from the left to leave Ortega in the City goal totally stranded.
A similar goal was scored by Havertz, who made up for his first-half miss with a precise finish.
Now Arsenal simply have to keep up this level of performance and hope that Liverpool slip up.
