Apparently Partey said lessons were learned after the Leicester game, but that was not obvious after this performance.
Arteta deserves credit for changing the personnel with only 60 minutes on the clock; Wenger would have never done that! However, with the game still in the balance, Arteta threw on Trossard, Martinelli and Merino.
It was Martinelli, who made the difference, tucking in a Saka cross from close range. There was an agonising while VAR confirmed that it wasn't offside. It was quite obviously inside, as the grass Martinelli was standing on was a different shade of green. Eventually, the VAR officials agreed.
Saka managed to put the icing on the cake, robbing Sugawara to make it 3-1.
Before that, Havertz (who else?) cancelled out Archer's opener.
As the game opened up, Arsenal looked more convincing, but this wasn't a vintage performance. Nevertheless, it's another three points and that's all that counts in the final analysis.
