Arsenal 4-0 Everton

To score four against a well-drilled Everton side is quite an achievement, especially as Arsenal could find no way through for the first 30 minutes or so.

Saka and Martinelli's first half goals were added to by Odegaard, who sidefooted home under pressure and the aforementioned Brazilian, who got his second. That's four goals in three games for Martinelli.

Meanwhile, Ramsdale pulled off a world-class double save and a good one from O'Neil to keep Arsenal's clean sheet intact.

This was an encouraging second half made possible because Partey replaced Jorginho at half time, and the Ghanaian drove the Gunners forward with a vast array of passes, while making the home side look more resilient down its spine.

It's Bournemouth at home next.

Ramsdale 9 - world class
White 7 - solid
Saliba 8 - majestic
Gabriel 8 - battled
Zinchenko 7 - instrumental in a goal (Tierney)
Saka 9 - amazing (Smith-Rowe)
Odegaard 8 - back among the scorers
Partey 9 - formidable (replaced Jorginho)
Xhaka 8 - improved (Vieira)
Martinelli 9 - pacy
Trossard 8 - another assist (Nketiah)
