There’s life in the old ______ yet

The missing word in the gap fill is 'Ozil' or replace that with one-off his nicknames. A gap fill is appropriate for the Ozil situation, as no one can deliver what the German can.

Although he goes AWOL, even at the best of times, the two 'assists' (as he should be credited with a hand in the first goal, so valuable was his contribution) that he recorded against Burnley were beyond equal. That is true particularly regarding the first assist, as his pass to Kolasinac was so exact that no defence could cope with it.

Just as pleasing for Arsenal fans was seeing Aubemayang get on the score sheet twice, making him top scorer in the Premier League.

Even Iwobi got in on the act, but there's no mistaking that Arsenal made it hard for themselves at times. I still question the theory behind knocking the ball back to the keeper, unless it's entirely necessary.

Another talking point was Lacazette being upset about being replaced. The Frenchman hadn't done a lot wrong, so you could see his point.

The makeshift defence looked stronger than of late, but Monreal's injury is worrying. The manager needs to have more selection dilemmas than he's having at the moment.
