According to various papers in Italy, the agent of Mauro Icardi will this morning fly ( probably already in London as we write this ) to London to hold talks Arsenal in regards to the transfer of the Argentine to Arsenal before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Arsenal are said to have been watching the South American's situation with Inter Milan, although he is not first choice and only became an option after other targets rejected us. Arsenal will however have competition from Napoli for the signature of Icardi according to the reports. Inter Milan are said to be asking for as much as €70million (almost £60million) while the player is demanding for €5million (over £4.2million) year as wage.
If this report is true, Icardi could be having his medical with Arsenal this week and it will further buttress the report yesterday from the Italian media claiming Arsenal have reach an agreement for the signature of Icardi. Maybe the reports yesterday were true then?
This sort of unexpected signing is what Wenger is known for. Many times, Wenger go for players that no one expect him to sign. With rumours constantly linking Arsenal to Lacazette, it will not be a surprise if Lacazette is just a smokescreen and Icardi is the real target.
But do Arsenal really need Icardi? The Argentine's numbers speak for itself. In the last two seasons, he has scored 39 goals in all competition for Inter Milan which is good for a player who is playing in the Serie A, a league that is known for been very defensive. However, Lacazette has scored 48 goals in the same period and defensively, the French league is not so far from the Serie A.

Also, Lacazette seems to be available cheaper than Icardi. Although it must be said that Icardi is much younger than Lacazette. However, I personally will prefer Lacazette simply because he is cheaper and his signing will leave over extra funds that can be spent on a wing forward and a centre back.
yap lacazette will be a better choice because of the money involved.
