Arsenal's search for a striker this summer is becoming increasingly frustrating. First we all thought we would be signing Jamie Vardy from Leicester City, but the England international striker chose to remain at Leicester City with reports claiming it was because of the fears that he may not be a first choice striker at Arsenal.
Since then, we have been heavily linked with Morata. Unfortunately, it appears Real Madrid do not intend to sell the former Juventus striker and have reportedly rejected a bid of £63 million from Chelsea. Aside from Morata, Arsenal have also been linked with Higuain, who is now at Juventus.
According to the reports, Icardi has agreed personal terms with Napoli and all that's left for the deal to be finalised is both Inter Milan and Napoli to reach an agreement on a transfer fee. This news, if true, is surely bad news for Arsenal. Icardi is one of the few strikers available in the market that Arsenal can sign, but unfortunately he may now be elusive.
And if Icardi does move to Napoli, Arsenal's only other viable option will be Lyon's Alexander Lacazette and who says Inter Milan won't make a move for the Frenchman as the replacement for Mauro Icardi?
Unfortunately, it appears that unless Wenger really decides to spend big on someone like Griezmann, who I believe is 'gettable' if we put up the cash, we will end up with no striker. Griezmann could be available for 70-80 million pounds, but can any Arsenal fan realistically say they can see Wenger spending that kind of money on anyone?
Too much dithering - just get a deal done. this striker saga is becoming torture
