This season is likely to a never forget one or probably the one to forget for Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger.
Media backlash critics, being booed by the fans, missing a golden chance to win
the league, disappointing results on the pitch to players' attitude, the
Frenchman has more than enough to battle with.
Both Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott have been linked with
Manchester City. While the former is reportedly keen on a reunion with his
former boss, Pep Guardiola who comes in as the Sky Blues new manager this summer,
the Spainard wants to add Walcott to the number of home grown players to the club.
The midfield trio of Captain Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and
Mathieu Flamini are expected to leave the Emirates at the end of this current
campaign. In the light of this, Arsenal record signing Mesut Ozil has continued
to cast doubt over his future at the club, though, Ozil has delayed talk over
concerning his future with the North-London side and he is rumored to be link
with the Spanish giants Barcelona.
Accredited statements has shown that the World Cup winner might have left the Arsenal fans thinking whether he is likely to be at the club next season or not.
Notwithstanding Ozil contending being happy at the Emirates,
the German International has left the door opened for an exit. Report from
Bleacher via the French Magazine surface that, Ozil said:
"In the future you can never know football.”
“I am under contract
with Arsenal and I am very happy to be here now, I do not think about the
future, I just think about my current situation. I have goals for Arsenal."
Ozil has two years left on his present contract with Arsenal
and the manager is self-assured that the German International and Sanchez might
still choose to extend their contract deal with the club.
Ozil moved to Arsenal in 2013 from Real Madrid for £42.5
million. It is whispered that Ozil has not yet to come in terms with the Arsenal
possessing mode of play as contrary to counter-attacking which seems more
suitable to him. 18 league assist has been provided by Ozil this season.
As the gunners are scheduled to be at the Etihad Stadium today
versus Manchester City, reports from BBC has shown key players from sky blues will be
absent in today’s match with Arsenal. Players in the likes of Pablo Zabaleta,
David Silva and Aleksandar Kolarov who have been ruled out as to result of
injury.
In the light of the above, the FA Cup defending champion are
on the high side of winning the match today and same might assured them third
place and a top-four finish for an awesome 20th year in a row.
