Ex’s Jump Kick Fells Eagles

EZE DOES IT AGAIN — THIS TIME IN RED AND WHITE

Some stories just write themselves. Ebere Eze — the man who won Crystal Palace their first FA Cup — came back to haunt them, volleying home the only goal of the game as Arsenal made it seven wins on the spin and stretched their lead at the top to four points. It's official: north London's calm, Palace's chaos.

💥 EZE HAUNTS EAGLES — AGAIN

It was a night of poetic justice and controlled aggression. Palace fans had barely finished booing their former hero when Eze decided to remind them why they once sang his name. Declan Rice floated in yet another wicked delivery, Gabriel nodded it back, and up flew Eze with a volley that Bruce Lee would've applauded.

Dean Henderson? Just another spectator in red and blue. The Emirates? Absolute bedlam.

The irony was delicious — the same man who sealed Palace's FA Cup glory in May now dealing them a blow that might bruise all winter. Football, eh?

🧱 DEFENCE SO GOOD IT'S BORING

Ten clean sheets in thirteen. Let that sink in. Our defence doesn't just hold — it hypnotises. Gabriel and Saliba are so secure they could insure your house, while David Raya could probably knit a scarf between saves.

And yet, somehow, Palace had their moments. Glasner's lot came to play ugly but clever, clogging our midfield and punting long for Mateta to chase like a man on Deliveroo duty. But when the moment came, Arsenal's shape held, the line held, and everyone's nerves (barely) held.

⚙️ SET-PIECE FC: IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, DRILL THEM

Say what you want about Mikel Arteta's obsession with routines — the man's turned Arsenal into Set-Piece FC, and we're not complaining. Eleven of our sixteen league goals this season have come from dead balls.

Chelsea may spend £100 million on chaos; we spend five minutes on choreography. Rice + Gabriel + Eze = automatic weapon.

Someone call the Premier League — it's starting to look like rugby out there.

📊 FACTS TO MAKE YOUR EYES WATER

  • 700 Premier League wins. Only Manchester United have more.
  • 100 games without conceding three goals. (Yes, even Luton couldn't repeat their miracle from 2023.)
  • 69% of goals from set pieces — nice and nerdy.
  • Seven straight wins, four clean sheets, zero panic.

If you want to talk "mentality monsters", don't look at Klopp's memoirs — look at north London.

⚽ WHAT'S NEXT?

The conveyor belt of fixtures rolls on:

  • Brighton (Carabao Cup, Wed) – Bring your B-team and your patience.
  • Burnley (Sat) – Sean Dyche may be gone, but the boredom lingers.
  • Slavia Prague (Tues) – Champions League away days, European nights, and probably another Rice assist.

🔴 THE LOOSE VERDICT

This wasn't free-flowing or flashy — it was cold, calculated Arsenal. The kind of game you don't lose if you want to be champions.

And fittingly, it was sealed by a player who's crossed the divide — from south to north, blue to red, midtable to masterpiece.

Eze didn't just haunt his old club — he baptised his new one in belief.
