Arsenal 0-0 Man City (h-t)

The Gunners made the chances, but surrendered possession to Man City, who persisted in messing around at the back. Should they continue to do that in the second half and if Nketiah comes in from the bench, they're like to concede.

This game is made for Nketiah. He's the kind of sniffer, who always closes down the keeper.

The best chances in the first half fell Arsenal's way and Havertz was unlucky not to score with an effort that was saved by the City keeper's legs.

As the game went on, it became which team is hungrier: Arsenal. City are exuding a sort of arrogance, which is understandable given their strength in depth.

I can't help but feeling they'll lose their edge this season. Arsenal look sharp but realistic and Timber, Rice and Havertz all look like excellent signings, based on this half.

Roll on the second half!
