Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Let's make no bones about this: Arsenal deserved this win. They were hungrier than Chelsea, first to second balls and sharper with their passing.

The goal itself did not match some of the beautiful football that preceded, but the fans won't mind.

Saka whipped in a low corner from the right, which was probably heading in, quite inexplicably. Just to make sure, Gabriel lunged in with a finishing touch to take the ball into the roof of the net.

It looked like a few projectiles were being thrown on the pitch down Arsenal's right, so the ref had to stop the game for a while.

While the home fans behaviour may have been disappointing, it doesn't take the gloss of the fact that Arsenal have now returned to the top of the league.

Elneny and Tierney came on late on to make sure Arsenal could see it out, and they did it relatively comfortably.

Now a win at Wolves is needed, but they'll be tougher than normal, given they've got a new manager.

Arsenal will have to be at their competitive, most consistent best to stay at the top, but they're beginning to look as if they have what it takes. The detractors laughing at Arsenal as serious title challengers may have to think again, if the Gunners can keep up this run.
