4th Summer Signing? Arsenal On The Verge Of Signing "Skillful" Manchester United Target

After having signed Rob Holding, Granit Xhaka and Takuma Assano, Arsenal are expected to sign a striker, a centre back and maybe a wing forward. But as it is often the case with Wenger, Arsenal are once again being linked with the signing of a central midfielder.

According to reports from Spanish media outlet Deportivo Valenciano, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is discreetly working to bring back Oguzhan Ozyakup who left Arsenal in 2012. The Turkish international was signed by Wenger from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in 2008.

The 23-year-old was at a stage the captain of Arsenal's under 19 side but with the likes of Nasri and Fabregas leaving Arsenal, Oguzhan Ozyakup probably thought he would be given a regular place in the first team but that didn't happen and asked to leave the club for Besiktas for just £350,000 in 2012.

He has since then gone on to become a top midfielder in the game. Last season, he scored 10 and created eight assists in all competition last season. Wenger is reportedly ready to pay €20 million for the 23-year-old. The player according to Daily Star is also wanted at old trafford by Jose Mourinho.

A very odd news as Arsenal do not need another central midfielder. Or could it be that someone in the current Arsenal team is about to leave and Wenger is working in advance to replace the player set to leave the club?

Maybe Ramsey is off? I personally won't be surprised if Ramsey leaves. With Xhaka and Elneny already in the team it may be diofficult for Wenger to fit the Wales international in the current Arsenal team especially if Mahrez joins the club before the transfer window closes.

However, hopefully the signing of Oguzhan Ozyakup ( if it happens ) will not stop the signing of a striker. Failure to sign a striker this summer will certainly not go down well with the fans especially if we struggle again next season.
