PHOTO: Alexis Sanchez Arrives London To Undergo Pre-season With Arsenal

With the Premier League starting in just about 14 days from now, Arsenal fans are rightly worried that Wenger hasn't brought in the much-needed striker. The good news for all Arsenal fans the world over is Alexis Sanchez has confirmed via his Instagram account that he has flown back to London to resume training, while awaiting Arsenal's return from pre-season tour.

The former Barca star has been given an extended holiday after leading his country, Chile, to yet another Copa America win. Sanchez released the pictures of himself and his dog on a private jet and captioned the pictures with different emojis, which included Union Jack flag, which indicates he is on his way back to London, if he is not already in London.

With Sanchez back to training, it means there is a real chance he will play in the opening match of the season against Liverpool, which is good news especially as Giroud is unlikely to make it; the Frenchman will not be expected back until late next week and is unlikely to be fit for the match.

With Wenger still yet to sign a striker, we may have to (sadly) rely on Sanchez for the first couple of games while we await Giroud's return to fitness. The likes of Ozil, Koscielny and Giroud are expected back in training next week.

Sanchez scored 18 goals and created 10 assists for Arsenal in all competitions last season. This was despite the fact that he struggled with injury and had no real pre-season training last summer.

This goes to show how important he is to Arsenal, at the moment.
