Arsenal are obviously in the market for the signing of a wing forward this summer. We have already been linked with the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has since signed for Manchester United, Julian Draxler was also linked and recently so was Riyad Mahrez.
Arsene Wenger wanting another wing forward is quite understandable, especially as Theo Walcott hasn't covered himself in glory in the last few years. Wenger is one of the managers who likes having wingers that score goals. Unfortunately Walcott doesn't do that. Hence, the links to right wingers is not a surprise to me.
The paper also state Mahrez agreed a five-year contract with Arsenal some time ago and, although Leicester City have sent delegates to persuade the player to stay, he is not ready to reconsider his stance. Therefore, Mahrez will be joining Arsenal.
Another Algerian paper, Elheddaf, are also reporting the same. Papers in the player's home country should certainly be aware of what's going on with the player, right? I strongly believe there is something in these rumours.
Mahrez scored 17 goals and created 10 assists last season and was rightly voted as the PFA Player of the Year. He has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Manchester United, which will make our rivals' reactions even more interesting if we win the race for his signing.
It been a while we beat any of the big cash-rich clubs to the signing of any player, so doing that with Mahrez will be epic. His signing will make us one of the favourites for the title. Mahrez will be a sort of a game-changer signing for us.
Hopefully this news is true. And it could be, especially as Ranieri seems to be using negative/blackmail tactics to compel Mahrez to stay at Leicester City. There must be a reason why the Italian has been telling Mahrez he has a better chance of regular first-team football with Leicester than with any other club.
So you managed to sign your third choice, after the 1st choice chose another club and 2nd choice decided to stay where he was......Congratulations
ReplyDeleteExcept they haven't, the story isn't true and has already been debunked
DeleteI bet Wenger has not even made an offer, despite what the blogs say
DeleteBULLSHIT sterling Not euro's .
ReplyDeleteTEN points clear champions.
Le buteur and elheddaf are the same newspaper printed in different languages, they also have quite a bad reputation for printing made up stories and other more reputable journalists have already said its bull****. Leicester wont sell for that sort of money, why would they? He doesn't have a release clause and is happy at Leicester, it would take a £60 million+ bid before they would even consider it
ReplyDeleteRanieri had assess his price tag and said £40m. Mahrez isn't happy at Leicester and the whole world know it except Leister fans. You can't keep a player who is no more happy.
DeleteSportly, Mahrez is the first choice. Wenger would have made the step towards Mahrez if he knew he wanted to join Arsenal. And don't forget the story with Vardy!!!
ReplyDeleteMahrez had certainly negotiate with Leicester which apparently isn't ready to upgrade his wage as it should be to the best player of the season. It was easier for leicester to revalue his fee but more difficulty to do it for his wage without forgetting all the blackmail and the decrease Mahrez worth to one SO-SO PLAYER dealing with a salary of £ 35,000 / w. The 4. August Mahrez will officially join Arsenal.
Jog on, he isn't leaving Leicester, the owners and ranieri have said time and time again but never taken seriously, as soon as some newspaper with a bad rep says he's leaving its suddenly fact. Its not happening
DeleteWe don't have slave age. If the player isn't happy with the Club he can leave. The one has release clause the other price tag and the player is free.
DeleteI heard the same before 4 weeks about Kanté. The owners ans Ranieri have said time and time again he isn't leave Leicester.
A no point did they say kante wasn't leaving, they only said they would do all they can to get him to stay as he was never keen to be at Leicester. Mahrez is a different ball game, he is happy in Leicester and has no release clause. Despite what the trash keep printing he isn't pushing for a move, the Leicester press are much more reliable but completely ignored by the mainstream in this case because it doesn't fit their agenda of knocking Leicester back down to where they think they belong

This story sounds familiar has a certain Jamie Vardy ring to it.Forget it arsenal no one wants to join you suppose you will have to be the bridesmaid again.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would like to add that Mahrez's country of birth is France, he was born in Sarcelles. This story is complete trash. Interestingly, Arsenal fans seem to be neglecting the fact that Mahrez does not have a release clause. Leicester City may be a smaller club in history, but are owned by a billionaire, who has already stated his desire for the club to grow in stature. Selling the club's most high-profile player, would be the opposite of this stance.
