Arsenal eyeing £25m midfielder as one first signing this summer

It has been reported that the Gunners have made a perfect move to seal the deal of one out of the newly crowned Barclays Premier League champions’ central midfielder this summer.

Report from the Metro claims that, N’Golo Kant the gunners have held repeated talks over a transfer for Leicester City Central Midfielder N’Golo Kante.

N’Golo Kante who was signed last summer from SM Caen for €8 million (£5.6 million) on a four-year contract. It is believed that Arsenal needed some fresh blood in the team to strengthen the gunner’s squad and with the rumors of Riyad Mahrex and N’Golo Kante tipped to be leaving Leicester ahead of the coming season, N’Golo Kante could a superb choice for the gunners.

However, Mathieu Flamini set to depart from the Arsenal when his current deal with the gunners expires and Thomas Rosicky and fellow key player Mikel Arteta are also out of contract and are likely to be facing the exit door this summer.

Arsenal are facing a lot of unpleasant injury crisis and with the news of the three key-players leaving the emirate, the 25-year old highly rated central midfielder could be Arsene Wenger’s top priority target for the summer.

Reports from RMC also claims that Arsene Wenger has triggered the €25m for Kante switch from Leicester to Arsenal this summer with intentions of clause in the midfielder’s contract this summer.
N’Golo has been a tremendous signing for Leicester City since last summer from SM Caen and quickly established himself as one of the best central midfielder players in Europe and maintaining a key role in the club’s shock title win.
Personally, I think Kante having made 35 appearances for Leicester this seasons as a central midfielder could be the best replacement for Mikel Arteta who is likely to depart from Arsenal this season.
