Arsenal boss eyes £12m fresh deal to re-sign former Arsenal star

According to the reports from the Turkish publication, Fanatik, the North London club are considering a bid of £12million for Besiktas star Oguzhan Ozyakup their former player.

In addition, based on the report from the same sources, Arsenal will make a bid at the end of the season the 23-year-old has they have kept a close watch on him.

The highly rated Turkish international midfielder once played a leading role in the Arsenal’s Under 18s side that won Premier Academy League title in 2009 and he made few appearances in cup competitions for the North London club before his move to Besiktas in 2012 for €500,000.

Ozyakup, a very talented youngster has been in great form for Turkish side this season playing a key role in the Black Eagles march to the Turkish league title in what record has it to be his most productive campaign since his joining the club from Arsenal in 2012.

However, the 23-year-old has found it tough to break into the Frenchman first-team on a regular basis and he made just one appearance for Arsenal in the League Cup.

Ozyakup does of course have a history with the North London club having joined Arsenal FC as a youngster from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar before his ranking to the senior side and his transfer to Besiktas back in 2012.

This season perhaps has been Oguzhan Ozyakup the best season scoring 10 goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Istanbul giants, this could have prompted the Arsenal manager to consider a move in bringing him back to Arsenal this summer.

Thomas Rosicky departure from the Emirates left opened another space in the attacking midfield within the squad and with Ozyakup having since his move from Arsenal to Besiktas in the 2012.

He has established himself as one of the most important players for Turkish side club amid their title surge this season and with his performance, “I believe he could be good replacement for the Czech international. “

According to ex-BesiktasJ.K. forward, Feyyaz Ucar, Turkish former international,  Ozyakup is an attacking-minded central midfielder, he has made 144 appearance for Besiktas bagging 22-goals and making 33 assists. The 23-year-old is a skillful on finishing player, well positioned and with high level of anticipation, which makes him to be at right place on the pitch.
