Back to the top of the league, after a midweek slip at Saints, courtesy of a brace from the Ox. So all sounds good? Well, for now.
Wenger was clearly irked in Sky's post-match interview, when asked about new loan signing Kim Kallstrom's fitness. He'll be okay to play mid-March or at the end of this month. We're paying half his wages, but we didn't pay a fee: so he's a free in Wenger-speak. I do agree with Wenger, Kallstrom's a quality player and worth the risk, but I wonder if it's true that Arsenal's medics noticed the injury before the deal was thrashed out. Call me a cynic, but I don't think so.
The cynic in me still believes we won't win the league, unfortunately. We're grinding out some results, like today's, but Giroud is looking alarmingly tired: a shadow of his former self. We could have done with some proper strengthening in the transfer window. Bendtner can do a job now and again, but I don't think we can rely on him week in week out.
Still, we're back on top, so let's celebrate while we can.
